Carolee Dean is a board-certified speech-language pathologist and dyslexia therapist. In addition, she is the young adult author of award-winning fiction: Comfort (Houghton Mifflin), Take Me There (Simon Pulse), and Forget Me Not (Simon Pulse). She is also the creator of the educational resource Story Frames for Teaching Literacy: Enhancing Student Learning Through the Power of Storytelling (Paul H. Brookes Publishing). Dean is an adjunct instructor at Providence College in the Master of Education Program. She is the founder of Word Travel Press LLC where she creates decodable books and supplementary resources.
Dean has made numerous appearances as a guest poet/author at schools, libraries, and poetry events. She spent over a decade working in public schools and provides training at state and national conferences.
